About Rosie
I didn't set out to become a TikTok strategist. I started the way most creators do: posting videos on a whim, half-hoping something would stick, and quietly refreshing the analytics page long after midnight. What changed everything was a freelance gig managing the social presence for a mid-tier lifestyle creator in early 2022. The account had sat at around 80,000 followers for almost a year. Within four months of me overhauling the content calendar, hook structure, and posting cadence, it crossed 500,000. That result wasn't luck. It was a repeatable system, and I knew it.
Since then I've worked directly with more than twenty TikTok creators across niches from fitness and finance to comedy and fashion. Several of those accounts now sit in the 1M–8M follower range. Day to day that means scripting hooks, auditing content performance, tracking live follower data, running A/B tests on video formats, and building growth roadmaps that survive contact with the algorithm. I've spent thousands of hours inside TikTok Creator Studio, third-party analytics dashboards, and tools like TokCounter. Over time you develop a sharp read on what the numbers mean versus what they look like.
My core belief is that most creators are drowning in vanity metrics while missing the signals that predict real growth. I saw this pattern constantly: a creator goes viral once, celebrates the follower spike on the live counter, then pours energy into chasing a second viral moment instead of understanding why the first one worked. I've always pushed back on that. The better move is to slow down, look at completion rates, save ratios, and profile visit-to-follow conversions, and let that data drive every decision from there.
I approach short-form content through psychology as much as platform mechanics. I studied behavioural science informally through years of testing hooks, formats, and CTAs, and more formally through courses on persuasion, cognitive bias, and consumer psychology. That combination shows up in everything I write. Every recommendation has a clear reason behind it, not just a trend I noticed last week. The intersection of storytelling and data is where I spend most of my time, and it shapes most of what I publish here.
Outside client work, I care a lot about making creator education more accessible. The most useful growth knowledge tends to be locked behind expensive coaching programs or buried in Discord servers most creators never find. Writing for TokCounter is partly my answer to that. The guides I publish here are the same frameworks I use with paying clients: specific, tested against real accounts, not built around hypothetical audiences.
When I'm not in the middle of a content audit or writing a new hook, I'm staying current on platform policy changes, testing video formats before recommending them, or going down competitor research rabbit holes to see what the algorithm is quietly rewarding this week. I contribute to TokCounter because the live data tools are part of my actual workflow. Watching a follower counter update in real time, right after a post goes live, is still one of the most direct feedback signals available. That immediacy matters.
If you've read any of my articles and want to go deeper, start with the TokCounter Blog. You can also pull up the live follower counter I reference throughout my guides. It's the fastest way to put the metrics I write about into real-world context.
